Dear Chartered Club;
As the riding season winds down too soon in so much of the country, I need to draw your attention once again to the new Corporate Identify (CI) logo requirements from BMW AG. In mid-June the MOA sent information to all Chartered Clubs describing these new requirements and especially that we all must have an approved CI logo format by the end of 2011. It was our belief then that not many clubs would focus on this during the peak summer riding months, but now that both fall and the deadline loom the MOA has found a way to make this task easier for you.
Throughout the summer we have had contact with many clubs and had an excellent discussion of this topic at both the Chartered Club Leadership Summit and Chartered Club President’s meetings at the Bloomsburg Rally. We have identified that one of the big obstacles for you as a club is the mechanical challenge of creating your version of this new format because the requirements are so precise. We listened to you and have revised the original process to make it easier and faster for you to create your new logo.
All you have to do now is decide on the wording of you club name and send us a high resolution graphics file of the image you want to use in your signet area, and the MOA will produce your CI logo in conformance with all the mechanical requirements. We will produce your detailed finished CI logo, submit it for approval, and, once approved send you back a production-ready copy for your use.
At the back of this letter is information on what constitutes a usable signet graphics file, contact information, and links for all the CI logo documentation and FAQ’s on the MOA web site. If you have any questions, or would like some help mocking up a sample design, please contact our Chartered Club Liaison Paul Mulhern. Do not contact the BMW Clubs International Council Office directly – that will only slow things down.
As I stated earlier the deadline looms (December, 2011). Due to the tight schedule and the volume of work involved, we would greatly appreciate it if you could quickly inform us of your approximate schedule for submission of your logo elements.
Again, we are here to answer any questions and to make this process as easy for you as possible.

Graphics (Signet) File Recommendations
When submitting your logo artwork, please adhere to the following guidelines:
• Make sure the "background" area around your logo is transparent, not white.
• Make sure your artwork is saved as a jpg, eps, or pdf.
• Make sure your artwork is saved as CYMK (four-color process), and not RGB.
• If working in a program such as Adobe Illustrator, make sure all fonts are converted to "outlines". This avoids having missing font issues.
• Make sure your logo is at least 300 dpi (high resolution). This is suitable for print purposes.
