27,779 miles (on 23-Jul-2013). The bike has always been maintained by the dealer. (It has usually not come up to the mileage for its service intervals, so it has been serviced on time rather than miles.) It has never been crashed. It has lived in a garage all of its life. It has been ridden very gently. (I do not have the courage nor the skills to ride this thing anywhere near its potential!)
Technical: 1130 cc, two-cylinder (horizontally opposed), four valves per cylinder. Six speed gearbox. Shaft drive. Twin front disks, single rear, partially linked, ABS.
It has a full set of luggage (side boxes, a tail box, and a tank bag, all from BMW).
This model was imported in smallish numbers; it is slightly unusual. It is a sport-touring version that handles extremely well in the twisty stuff, will cruise all day on the Interstate, provides a comfortable riding position for long-distance, and has a generous luggage capacity.
