I picked up a 2005 F650GS with 20k on the clock as my first bike a few weeks ago and it’s been an absolute dream to own. Since I’ve had it I’ve done new tires, plugs, coolant flush, chain clean and adjustment, oil change and neutral switch. I made it from LA to Sedona and back in my first long distance run on a bike. I even took it on a ohv trail and dropped it a few times.. I absolutely love this machine and look forward to many more adventures!

BMW Motorrad unveils 2026 R 1300 RS and RT

BMW Motorrad USA introduced the 2026 R 1300 RT and R 1300 RS, motorcycles designed to elevate touring and sport-touring experiences. Both models feature BMW's 1,300cc liquid-cooled boxer engine and advanced technology, but cater to distinct riding styles; long-distance comfort for the RT and sporty nimbleness for the RS. Both are set to launch in late Q3/early Q4 2025, and clearly aim to improve BMW’s standing in their respective segments.

BMW Motorrad announces 2026 R 1300 R

BMW Motorrad USA announced the new 2026 R 1300 R, returning for the new model year with more power and torque than previous models. New options will enable any rider to customize their R 1300 R to their heart’s content.

Top shelf octane vs. the well drinks

In bars, "top-shelf" refers to premium, higher-priced liquors, while "well drinks" (or "house drinks") are made with the standard, more cost-effective liquors typically stored in the "well." We can apply a similar scheme to which fuel we put into our motorcycles.

DGR charity ride, is across the country. Check out the site for your state and city. Lot of fun, Vintage and or classic bikes participate, but basically anybody can run it and is usually just a circuitous route through each city. (less than a day). If you've never heard of it I've included a link that explains it all. Very cool, 113,399 riders across 190 countries do this every year for prostate cancer and men's mental health...and you can dress like British school professors.
