Second year for this MOA Getaway in the heart of Appalachia

This is second year Rides4Fun has hosted the MOA Getaway at Breaks Interstate Park in southwestern Virginia. We’re excited to bring this Getaway back for the 2025 season, and as with all MOA Getaways, all brands and riders are welcome; MOA membership is not a requirement. Bring your riding friends and experience some of the best motorcycle riding in the country. The late April date should ensure some great weather, and the area’s roads offer incredible riding opportunities for both street and adventure bikes. (REGISTRATION IS OPEN!)

EVENT DETAILS

Breaks Interstate Park is located on the Kentucky/Virgina state border. It is known as the Grand Canyon of the South because it is the deepest gorge east of the Mississippi River. The event location is a natural rider’s haven nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.

When guests arrive they will be impressed with the park’s great amenities. Sign-in for the event will be at the Chafin Lodge overlooking the roaring Russell Fork River. The lodge will be the center of everything for the event weekend, starting with a Welcome Reception featuring a full-service cash bar and casual dinner on Friday. On Saturday there will be an Awards Banquet, again catered by the incredible park staff.

The park’s lodging offerings include everything from traditional rooms at the lodge, cabins on the water, RV slots and tent camping. After a peaceful night of rest and breakfast Saturday morning, Getaway attendees can select from multiple street and adventure routes for their enjoyment. Famous area roads nearby the park include the Back of The Dragon—or The Dragon Slayer—but there are many more area roads just as fun and enjoyable. Guests or their passengers wanting time off the bike will find the park offers plenty of amenities and activities. Guests can select from kayaking, hiking, zip lines and more to enjoy. For riders wanting to work on their personal bucket list, how about an elk viewing and photo tour on Friday evening? Be sure to ask the park staff about details of the Elk Tour when making your lodging reservations.

EVENT FEES

The $149 event fee includes a Friday night welcome party and dinner with cash bar, Saturday night dinner and awards with cash bar, thousands of dollars worth of door prizes and a special MOA gift. The Getaway event fee does not include lodging. Please call the venue directly, and visit the venue’s website for reservations and cancellation policies.

Event fees are refundable if cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event. Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event will receive a voucher for a future MOA event. Please visit bmwmoa.org/refunds for a list of covered events and circumstances that qualify for an event credit.

LODGING

The wonderful Breaks Interstate Park will be the base of operations for the event. Lodging options are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All available lodging has been blocked out for our event guests, but will sell-out fast, so make plans early. For reservations, riders will need to call the park directly at (276) 865-4413 and speak to the front desk. You will need to provide them with the event code BreaksBMW25 to book a room. If you visit the web page, the property will show sold out for the weekend, so please remember—YOU MUST CALL! This also applies to RV spots and tent camping as well. All camping and lodging options are within easy walking distance to the Chafin Lodge.
