The BMW MOA is pleased to announce the launch of the Oilhead 259 podcast. Produced by From Off Productions, creators of the popular Airhead 247 podcast, the Oilhead 259 podcast will feature interviews with independent mechanics, product developers, and enthusiasts of the venerable 259 series of BMW motorcycles, produced from 1993-2005.
New audio episodes will be released on the first Wednesday of each month. In addition to the audio program, there will be a sister video series, Oilhead 259 4V, released on the third Wednesday of each month. Chris Ory from Boxerworks in Watkinsville, Georgia, will host both shows.
The first Oilhead 259 episode will feature an interview with William Plam of Wunderlich America and Boxer 2 Valve. The show dives deep into the history, development, and launch of the 259 platform. The video program begins with a multi-part series documenting the recommissioning of a somewhat neglected 1998 R 1100 GS by Chris Ory and the crew at BoxerWorks.
The Oilhead 259 podcast will be available on your favorite podcast platforms, including Soundcloud and Apple Podcasts. Oilhead 259 4V will be released each month on the MOA’s YouTube channel. Every episode and show notes can be found online at bmwmoa.org/oilhead259.
