Really just errands today. Dropped by my kid’s work to get my functional Surface & her nonfunctional Surface, then a computer repair place to see if they can fix hers (not worth the cost, it turns out). Hit the pharmacy to pick up refills. Anna’s for dinner with Mom & Jim. I rode the long way home from Anna’s via Studley Rd. Nice and cool. Not bad for late August!
I posted this (ish) to the MOA Facebook group along with a photo of the bike I took from inside the computer store:
“Every time I get in this bike I’m reminded how much fun it is to ride. I mean it’s just fun to ride in general; it’s also fun to ride this specific bike. As I get deeper into the year I find myself grabbing the Airhead for things I’d never do on my GS—even when the idle was out of control and pissing me off. None of what I did today was important, it all would have been easier and faster to do in the car using the freeways. Today I wanted to walk past the car and take the motorcycle. This motorcycle.”

This might be the least intimidating motorcycle I’ve ever owned. It doesn’t call out to me to go ride, it’s just ready to do so any time I want. If it was a dog, it would be content to stay or go, always.
At the computer store, there’s some kind of café next door. A woman was sitting outside, smoking, when I parked at the curb. She waved at me all friendly and said, “Cool bike!” There’s something about this bike that makes people (including me) smile.
Going to meet Scott Lite for lunch on Saturday. Don’t know where yet.
