This motorcycle adventure features an all-paved itinerary with sections of road construction. Scenery is limitless as you make your way from Portland, Oregon, through Washington State and Canada to Alaska. During May, there are a high level of animals on and around the road. Get ready to see more wildlife than expected!

THE ITINERARY
DAY 1 – Arrival in Portland, Oregon
Your motorcycle adventure starts with your arrival in Portland. Hotel check-in. Meet the other riders in the group at the Welcome Dinner this evening. Stay in Portland, Oregon.
DAY 2 – Portland to Leavenworth (288 miles / 463 km)
Begin your motorcycle trip by crossing the Columbia River and heading into the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest in Washington. After a great day riding the Cascade Mountains, you will arrive at the small Bavarian town of Leavenworth. Stay in Leavenworth.
DAY 3 – Leavenworth to Kelowna (266 miles / 428 km)
Ride some twisties through Washington and arrive at the Canadian border. Continue riding on to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Stay in Kelowna, BC.
DAY 4 – Okanagan Valley to Quesnel (350 miles / 563 km)
Motorcycle the curvaceous mountain roads and through the rolling farmland of southern British Columbia. Continue North on the “Gold Rush Trail” towards the Cariboo Gold Fields. Stay in Quesnel, BC.
DAY 5 – Quesnel to Dawson Creek (325 miles / 523 km)
Journey down the John Hart Highway at Prince George, BC and climb over the Rocky Mountains on your way to the beginning of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, BC. Stay in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
DAY 6 – Dawson Creek to Ft. Nelson (280 miles / 450 km)
Enjoy the wide-open spaces of this isolated part of Canada. Look for wildlife along the road including Buffalo, Black and Grizzly Bears, Elk and Big Horn Sheep. Stay in Ft. Nelson, BC.
DAY 7 – Ft. Nelson to Liard Hot Springs (189 miles / 304 km)
This section of road follows the original route blazed in 1942. Ride past sweeping views, pristine lakes, rivers, and wildlife. Relax in the natural hot springs at Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park this evening. Stay at Liard Hot Springs, BC.
DAY 8 – Liard Hot Springs to Whitehorse (400 miles / 643 km)
Enter gold country today. Cross into the Yukon Territory as you ride your touring motorcycle north. Welcome to the headwaters of the Yukon River. Stay in Whitehorse, YT.
DAY 9 – Whitehorse to Skagway (109 miles / 175 km)
Ride through scenic White Pass as you go back in time to the old gold rush town of Skagway, Alaska. Get ready to be enamored by mountains erupting from the ocean and glaciers all around. This was the jumping off point for the gold rush made famous by the Chilkoot Trail. Stay in Skagway.
DAY 10 – Skagway to Beaver Creek (387 miles / 622 km)
Ride through the scenic coastal range once more and right through Kluane National Park, home to some of the tallest peaks on the continent. You will stay on the border of Alaska this evening in Beaver Creek.
DAY 11 – Beaver Creek to Valdez (363 miles / 584 km)
Ride along the border of Wrangell – St. Elias National Park, home to nine of the sixteen tallest peaks on the continent. Together with Kluane National Park, they make the largest preserve in the world. End your day riding through one of the most beautiful roads anywhere: Thompson Pass. Stay in Valdez.
DAY 12 – Valdez to Anchorage (299 miles / 481 km)
Enjoy Thompson Pass one more time and the waterfalls of Keystone Canyon as you head to Anchorage, Alaska today. Don’t worry, the ride is not over, as you will be running one of the most beautiful roads in North America: the Glenn Highway. This road is a National Forest Scenic Byway, and as it makes its way westward through the Chugach Range, you may well agree. Farewell dinner tonight in Anchorage. Stay in Anchorage.
DAY 13 – Departure
