Meet Our Newest MOA Ambassadors

These members were honored during the MOA Rally in Essex Junction, Vermont, for service that strengthened the MOA community:

• Larry Meeker – a dedicated Airhead and modern-day rider from the Jacksonville area, Larry has been exceptionally active in local club activities in the area for a number of years. His passion for Airhead has been documented in the Airheads magazine, as well as in contributions to the BMW Owners News. You can typically find Larry camped out at the Northeast Florida Winter Rally or at an MOA National. Welcome to the Ambassador ranks. 

• Ben Tibbs – an Atlanta area native, Ben has been very active in the GS and adventure community. He was a GS Trophy competitor and has also supported the Invest event and authority bike training on the MOA’s behalf. Ben has been very active in the Georgia area recruiting members for both the MOA and the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Georgia

• Curtis Zimmerman – Curtis has been quietly working in the shadows for the MOA for the last 15 years or so. Most recently, you can find Curtis standing in the hot sun at Infest, marshaling one of the activities for the Authority Bike Shootout. He’s been with the Infest event since the beginning, and you can find him covering the Eastern seaboard on his RT. 

• David Dunn – A BMW MOA member for more than 20 years, David V. Dunn has made rider safety and education central to his service. A paramedic and EMT instructor, David brought his firsthand understanding of motorcycle accidents to the BMW MOA Foundation Board, where he served as treasurer and vice chair and championed skills-development grants. He has also served as treasurer of the Lehigh Valley Beemers, helping the organization grow into an MOA Chapter with more than 500 members in eastern Pennsylvania. Through leadership, fundraising, recruiting, and writing for BMW Owners News, David has consistently worked to strengthen both riders and the MOA community.

• Terence Hamill – Terence Hamill began riding in the early 1970s and purchased his first BMW—a 1971 R 75/5—in 1978. His enduring enthusiasm for BMW motorcycles is matched by his commitment to sharing the MOA experience with others. Terence is a longtime contributor to BMW Owners News and Postcards from the Road, a frequent national-rally volunteer, and a trusted resource for travelers through the Anonymous Book. Within the Lehigh Valley Beemers, he has served as newsletter editor, secretary, and ride leader. Through his stories, photographs, leadership, and personal assistance to riders, Terence continually strengthens the connections that make the MOA special.

• Milo Bunda – Milo Bunda joined the BMW MOA in 1976 and attended his first national rally in 1978, beginning a remarkable tradition of rally participation and volunteer service. Over the years, Milo has worked in the beer garden, at the gates, with security and communications, and in numerous other roles. Since 2000, he has been a driving force behind the rally’s motorcycle wash, solving problems, adapting to less-than-ideal conditions, and making the experience enjoyable for volunteers and attendees alike. His decades of dependable, good-humored service represent the volunteer spirit on which every successful MOA rally is built.

• Robert and Mary Ellen Bolton – For more than 40 years, Robert and Mary Ellen Bolton have shared their enthusiasm for motorcycling by welcoming and supporting riders wherever they meet them. As active members of the BMW Club of Houston, they created Camp Glockenspiel—a rally gathering place where first-time attendees quickly become part of the community. They volunteer throughout the national rally, assist travelers through the Anonymous Book, help riders with repairs, and share guidance on sidecars, ergonomics, routing, and long-distance travel. Their warmth, generosity, and commitment embody the welcoming spirit of the BMW MOA.

• Vince Kelly – Since beginning his BMW riding journey in 2012, Vince Kelly has traveled more than 150,000 miles while becoming one of the MOA’s most energetic advocates. As president of the Lehigh Valley Beemers, he guided the organization’s transition to an MOA Chapter and helped build a large, active community that welcomes new and younger riders. Vince has served as a regional coordinator, Community Expert, and national-rally membership and recruiting co-chair. His outreach to riders, dealers, and local clubs—including helping bring the Skylands club back to the MOA—reflects his exceptional ability to turn enthusiasm into lasting participation.

• Steve Pelletier – After serving a term on the BMW MOA Board of Directors, Steve organized the Red Cross Blood Drive at the 2026 BMW MOA National Rally in honor of Muriel Farrington.
