The BMW Motorcycle Owners of America community has always stood for more than the ride. It’s about camaraderie, service, and showing up when it matters most. In that spirit, the MOA is proud to host a special blood drive with the American Red Cross in memory of Muriel Farrington, a remarkable woman whose quiet dedication to helping others continues to inspire all of us.

Muriel embodied the very best of our community. Whether lending a hand at events, supporting fellow members, or simply sharing conversation and laughter, she was always focused on others. I had the privilege of spending time with Muriel over the years, including many memorable games of cribbage. She brought the same generosity and enthusiasm to the card table as she did to her community service, always connecting people and lifting spirits.

This blood drive is a meaningful way to honor her legacy by continuing the work she cared so deeply about: helping others. Every blood donation can help save multiple lives as whole blood is vital for trauma patients, surgeries, and emergency treatments.

As riders, we understand responsibility. We prepare, we look out for one another, and we step up when needed. This is another opportunity to demonstrate what the MOA family is all about—community in action.
