BMW MOA members can test their skills at the inaugural Adventure Crown, a premier GS Trophy-style skills competition making its debut this August in North Haverhill, New Hampshire. Running alongside the legendary DirtDaze Rally from August 21 to August 22, 2026, the Adventure Crown offers adventure riders of all brands and experience levels a unique arena to test their control, precision, and judgment on technical terrain.
Unlike traditional races where speed determines the winner, the Adventure Crown focuses strictly on real-world trail scenarios and riding technique, completely removing the pressure of a stopwatch. The competition is built around standalone obstacle modules, testing riders on low-speed balance, tight rocky switchbacks, loose sand navigation, and technical terrain management.
To ensure a level playing field, motorcycles are grouped strictly by engine displacement into three categories:
Small: Up to 600cc
Medium: 601cc to 900cc
Large: 901cc and above (ensuring heavy Boxer and twin-cylinder machines compete directly against their true peers)
“This isn’t about reckless ‘send-it’ culture,” said Lana Tsurikova, organizer of the Adventure Crown event. “It’s a scored, transparent challenge built for the real-world adventure rider. Whether you want to measure your own baseline skills or sign up as a duo with a riding partner to share the strategy, it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn, improve, and connect with the community.”
The event features an open, objective scoring system where riders earn points for clean lines and receive fixed penalties for dabs or boundary violations. Additionally, a unique ride-and-record rotation format allows participants to alternate between riding modules and scoring their peers, giving everyone a front-row seat to study different line choices and techniques.

Regular registration is open through July 21, 2026, for $219 (late registration increases to $249 thereafter). An entry fee grants riders:
Full participation in the two-day Adventure Crown competition.

Full spectator access to the DirtDaze Rally, making it the perfect immersive weekend for the Northeast’s adventure riding community.

Meet Lana Tsurikova and Chip McMann of Adventure Crown
Lana Tsurikova is the founder and lead organizer of Adventure Crown, a new off-road riding competition built to fill a gap in the U.S. adventure riding scene.
Born in Ukraine, Lana grew up driving on rural roads at age 14 and has raced cars competitively since 2002, winning two national autocross championships along the way.
She discovered adventure motorcycling in 2020, when the cancellation of a race season led her to the GS Trophy community. Starting on a KTM 390 Adventure, she built her off-road skills quickly enough to complete part of the New England Backcountry Discovery Route in her first season. Then she moved to a BMW R 1250 GS to continue training toward the GS Trophy. She’s ridden a BMW R 1300 GS since 2024, now serves as a Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) Ambassador, and in 2025 advanced to the final round of the GS Trophy qualifier in Germany.
Lana started a YouTube channel, LanaOnWheels that has more than 10,000 subscribers. She shares motorcycle-control tutorials, ADV skill-building breakdowns, and candid talks on overcoming fear and building confidence on a bike, made especially with women and newer riders in mind.
She is passionate about proving that off-road riding is a learnable skill, regardless of body size or gender, and about giving other riders the training and community to grow into confident, capable off-roaders. Through Adventure Crown, she’s building the event she wished existed when she started.
Chip McMann has been riding motorcycles since he was six years old. His passion for two wheels has taken him on an incredible journey – from local trails to riding the Dalton Highway all the way to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.
In 2015, Chip became a professional adventure guide and later served as a Backcountry Discovery Route Ambassador, helping grow the adventure motorcycling community.
He has competed in hare scrambles and hard enduro events, and in 2025, represented the United States at the GS Trophy in Germany, advancing through the qualifying round against strong international competition. These experiences continue to shape how he designs challenging yet fair riding modules for the Adventure Crown.
Beyond motorcycles, Chip has owned and operated a plastics manufacturing business since 1991. He coached football for 14 years, and served as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. He also competed at the highest level in automobile extrication competitions, placing 7th in the world. This diverse background has given Chip a deep appreciation for safety, preparation, leadership, and community – core values built into every Adventure Crown event.
The Adventure Crown is Chip’s way of creating the kind of events riders want: skill-focused, fun, and rewarding for riders of all levels.
